Get To Know Us
We are Dada Yangu Organization.
We are a community-led movement working to break cycles of poverty, inequality, and harmful traditions by empowering girls, boys, and families through education, menstrual health, climate action, and sustainable livelihoods. From rural villages to underserved towns, we create safe spaces, shift mindsets, and build systems that help communities thrive now and for generations to come.
To carry out our mission, we ensure all people, regardless of age, gender, sex, or ethnicity are included and can participate in the organization’s activities.
We focus on promoting education, alleviating poverty, and creating a safe environment for teenage girls through life skills, eliminating social and economic conditions that make girls susceptible to dropping out of school, lack access to quality education, limited support systems, and societal pressures.

From the Founder.
Teenage girls between the ages of 13- 16 are at their pivotal point in their lives. The opportunities they have in life are strongly impacted by societal pressures, limited access to education, financial constraints, and a lack of support systems. These challenges can have a significant influence on their well-being, self-esteem, and opportunities for growth. Through support, mentorship, and long term solutions, DYO hopes to help girls realize their full potential through life skills training, mentorship programs, educational support, personal development workshops, raising awareness on the importance of education and advocating for equal opportunities, challenging social norms and barriers that hold back teenage girls from reaching their full potential.
Teenage adolescent girls are a priority for DYO. We recognize the unique challenges they face during this crucial stage of their lives, and we are committed to providing them with the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.
As part of our efforts to fulfill our mission, Dada Yangu collaborates with a wide range of partners to
implement innovative strategies that will ensure the protection of Kenyans’
young womn and girls.
