Dada Yangu
Breaking cycles of poverty & inequality through empowerment
We are a community-led movement working to break cycles of poverty, inequality, and harmful traditions by empowering girls, boys, and families through education, menstrual health, climate action, and sustainable livelihoods. From rural villages to underserved towns, we create safe spaces, shift mindsets, and build systems that help communities thrive now and for generations to come.

How we help
Our Projects
Through these projects, we are able to help the girls keep themselves busy, learn a skill, and even channel as opportunities for them to open up and speak about what they are going through. These are also channels to meet mentors, and even adult role models. We ensure they use these programs to develop friendship with others as well.
Ndoto Zetu
(Youth Mentorship, Skills & Leadership)
We support youth through life skills, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and community service. We create safe spaces where girls and boys can lead, learn, and earn with dignity — regardless of their background or ability.
Thamani
(Economic Empowerment for Families)
We train and support women, caregivers, single mothers, and young people with business skills, group savings models, and seed funding for small income-generating activities. Our goal is to strengthen families and uplift entire communities through economic resilience.
Afya Jamii
(Community Health & Social Wellbeing)
We support community health and social care programs that improve access to maternal care, mental health, clean water, and general well-being. We work closely with local health workers, families, and volunteers to ensure services reach every part of the community.
Dada Hub
(Menstrual Health & Gender Dignity)
We provide reusable pads, menstrual health education, and advocacy to ensure no one misses school or opportunities because of menstruation. We engage the whole community — including boys, men, teachers, and local leaders — to break period stigma and promote gender dignity.
Eco Jamii
(Climate Action & Sustainability)
Through eco-friendly pads, clean-up campaigns, and tree planting, we involve the community in climate solutions. We also train youth and women in sustainable crafts and circular economy skills that protect the planet and create livelihoods.
Binti Huru
(Child Protection & Ending Early Marriage)
We work hand in hand with families, schools, and community leaders to prevent early marriage, support those at risk, and help survivors continue their education or access training. Our work is rooted in care, protection, and opportunity for every child in the community.
